Our Community

Our co-op has provided nutritious foods for the Linden Hills community for over 40 years. We believe that access to healthy food builds strong, healthy communities.

Our co-op is proud to be a part of the Linden Hills neighborhood. Linden Hills is a small community near Lake Harriet and full of community places and local businesses. One can easily make a day of exploring the Linden Hills village, biking on the path that runs through the neighborhood or spending some time at Linden Hills Park. 

In our 40 years of business, we've supported our neighborhood by providing local and organic foods, buying from local Linden Hills vendors, providing education in nutrition, and serving as a gathering place for neighbors to meet.

Move, Make & Learn: A Day for Families

Join us for a day of learning, movement and art! We’re partnering with Blooma Yoga and Wellness, The Minneapolis ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) Parent Council, and other local organizations to bring you and your family a day to enjoy! Activities are designed for children 0 – 10 years, but siblings, friends, caregivers, and all are welcome. Activities include: pipe cleaners for all ages,  service and art, beeswax modeling, family yoga, sing-a-long, cooking for kids with Leah from the Wedge Culinary Team. 

30 Days of Biking Kick Off!

Commit to biking every day of April! Join the Climate Action Team for coffee, conversation and motivation to get on your bike. Everyone who signs up for 30 Days of Biking at the kick off will be entered to win a bike at the end of the month!

Farm to Jar: Fermentation with Angelica's Garden

Angelica’s Garden grows all the produce they ferment. Learn about their business, operations, and tips on how to ferment at home. Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to sample some of their fermented goods.

The co-op carries hundreds of local and organic products that were created with the environment in mind. CAT will be at the store talking about ways to shop sustainably at the co-op. Pick up a list of featured sustainable products and try some samples.

Join in the neighborhood fun! Neighbors, environmental groups and businesses will be in the park sharing skills and ideas for sustainable living. Lots of fun, games and activities including a family friendly bike ride, Kids Climate Carnival, nature treasure hunt, Frisbee playshop and more! Learn about raising chickens and bees, biking in the city and growing your own food. This event is FREE and great for the whole family!

Family Bike Ride

Sunday, April 30, 2 – 2:30 pm

Calling all kids, parents, and Co+op Explorers! Meet at the co-op for a fun family bike ride around the neighborhood! All ages welcome. We’ll loop back to the co-op for lemonade on the patio! This event marks the end of the 30 Days of Biking and Climate Action.
