Intelligent Nutrients

"Everything we put in and on our bodies must be nutritious and safe"

Horst M. Rechelbacher, Founder of Intelligent Nutrients

After nurturing and letting go of his first cosmetics company, Aveda, Rechelbacher decided to reach a higher standard with Intelligent Nutrients. He sought to formulate efficacious, food-grade personal care products that add the most to the health of the individual, and to vibrancy of the earth.

Headquartered in Northeast Minneapolis, Intelligent Nutrients now boasts a full line of luxurious haircare, skincare and home health items.  A core ingredient of these shampoos, lip glosses and even bug spray is Intelligent Nutrients’ patented Intellimmune seed oil blend. Intelligent Nutrients cold-presses certified organic seeds, such as black cumin and raspberry, and mixes them together to create this super-antioxidant, omega-rich elixir. Imagine wanting to ingest your lip gloss for its anti-aging benefits, as opposed to being concerned about your daily intake of heavy metals, such as lead, from  your cosmetics.

The real beauty of Intelligent Nutrients’ selection is that they’re healthy, environmentally-friendly products that make you feel like you’ve been to the salon every time you use them. Fans of Aveda will recognize the aroma of Horst’s elegant essential oil and plant essence blends and feel pampered. Intelligent Nutrients’ haircare line stands out as a staff and customer favorite. For those new to the line, the Harmonic Shampoo and Harmonic Conditioner provide a great introduction as they will make any hair type feel voluminous, smooth and invigorated.

Although salons and spas have carried Intelligent Nutrients almost exclusively in the past, Linden Hills Co-op now proudly offers its customers a wide variety of their USDA Certified Organic skin and haircare products. The partnership is a natural one as Intelligent Nutrients’ values align closely with those of the co-op. Not only a certified organic company, Intelligent Nutrients also takes great pains to obtain third-party approval from several organizations like GREEN-E (certified produced with 100% renewable energy) and Leaping Bunny (certified cruelty free).
